One of Serifos' well-maintained and marked hiking routes, it starts at the rough dirt road leaving southbound from Kendarchos toward Vounaki. Just after the village, the dirt road turns into a cobbled path -there is a sign—with beautiful views to Hora and Livadhi, white Vous is visible on your left.
The trail is smooth, comfortable and clear, the destination visible in the distance and the route without incident. After Vounaki you enter the area of Paliomitata where, on your left, is the chapel of Pano Stavros.
A bit further the trail splits. Both branches lead to Hora; route #1 is the left branch, going through vineyards in the area of Kipoi and meeting the chapel of Kato Stavros on the left. A little further, still on the left, is the church of Aghios Stefanos and then the position of Palio Pighadhi, where there is a fountain and an old stone bridge. From here, the trail ascends briefly and ends at Pano Hora.
